How far in advance should we make our reservation?

About a week is generally enough to reserve a boat. However, our reservations go by quick, so call us as soon as you can to guarantee yours, especially for Holiday and summer vacations!

Where do you operate from?

We are located in Incline Village, NV but boats are available for use at any point in lake Tahoe with depth enough to accommodate the boat at the Lake. We also offer delivery services to any lake of your choice for an additional fee.

How does fuel for the boat work?

We include the cost of fuel in the regular rental price. If discount is applied the renter/s will have to pay the amount of gas they spent at the daily rate at any of the Marina’s. Our rental staff will estimate the amount of fuel used. Since this is an estimation you pay the amount, we payed when we brought the boat at the gas station.

Do you have life vests for children?

We have a variety of life vest from infant size to adult large size, so let us know on the day of your reservation the number and sizes of vests you need.

What parts of the lake do you deliver to?

We can deliver the boats to any part of lake if safe to do so. Since we value our time and we know you value yours too, make sure you are punctual for your reservation. We do have a fee for delivery which is $99 each way. This is to cover the cost of getting the boat to your Dock, Buoy, or Launch point of your choice.

Can I tow the boat myself?

Yes, if you feel comfortable towing the boat behind your truck or SUV and are confident with launching and loading the boat. However, keep in mind that you agree to take a full responsibility for the boat, motor, equipment for the rental period and will be charged for damages, if there are any.

Can I pick which location and boat I want?

Absolutely, reserve early enough and you can pick the boat and location you want to go to. However, we reserve the right to substitute a like kind and size of watercraft in the event of a break down or boat out of service.

Do I need to pay for parking at the lake?

Sand Harbor State Park is open to the public. There is a Fee of $10 per vehicle to access the park. You need to take the Second entrance to the right coming from Incline Village or the first entrance to the left coming from South Lake Tahoe. Parking is limited to 500 spots, so in order to secure a parking space you need to be at the gate by 8:00 am.

Another option to access Sand Harbor State Park is to park and take the shuttle from Incline Village. Parking is free. Shuttle is also Free and scheduled for your group alone. Please make sure to arrive on time since we are on a tight schedule.

Can we bring a dog?

We prefer not to because dogs are not welcome at our pickup sites and can be harsh on the interiors. If you have a small dog that you can easily carry to and from the boat, we will allow it for an additional $100 deposit.

Can I bring food and drinks on board?

Yes, but stay away from messy foods and things that melt. When choosing drinks, resalable options are best. Try to stay away from glass bottles. We will charge you a minimum of $100 for returning an excessively messy boat and remember you can still get a DUI on a boat, so no excessive drinking please!

Does the boat have a Bimini?

This is the canvas that provides shade over head on the boat. Yes, all boats have some type of Bimini.

Does the boat have a stereo?

All boats have a stereo, and most have i-pod jacks. We have well maintained boats, but because boat radios are notoriously touchy we do not Guarantee the radio will work.

What happens to my deposit if the weather is bad or I can’t make it for the reservation?

The minimum deposit is 25%. We take the deposit on the day of the reservation and charge the rest on the day of the rental. We will not allow our boats to go out in unsafe conditions. Your deposit will stay for the next available day. If rescheduling is not an option, we will refund your deposit. In any other cases, we require a 96-hour notice to refund you. Past that time frame your deposit will remain as a credit with Tahoe Blue Boat Rentals with no expiration date. You may transfer the deposit to a person of your choice if you would like to as well. The only way to forfeit your deposit is by not showing up for your reservation. No call, no show and unreasonable same day cancelation will result in a full charge of the booking.

Does my reservation guarantee me that I will be able to park at Sand Harbor?

Sand Harbor and Cave Rock State Parks experience high visitation from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Park Staff without notice may close entrances or deny access to the park. Your rental does not guarantee access to the park. For more information, please visit the park webpage to prepare for your visit.
